Aotearoa 2018
These are some scribbles and photo's during my time in Aotearoa / New Zealand. I cycled from Auckland on the North Island to Dunedin on the South Island, starting in summer and ending in autumn. I met lovely people, was continuously in awe of the landscapes, and took shelter through some tropical cyclones. I was happiest following specific cycle routes and/or the quiet roads. I did do some cycling on the main roads when I had to but did not enjoy that experience particularly. I mainly camped, had some lovely warm shower experiences, and a couple of luxury stays in a place with an actual bed.
I am quite ready for another adventure
1. Quiet start on the Coromandel Peninsula
2. Boiling sulphur and ancient monster legends (Taniwha)
3. Sun, cider, and sea lions in Wairarapa
4. Molesworth - a lonely road through the mountains
6. Otago trails, Red Dwarf, cloud porn and emerald rivers
